Popstamatic, pop art creator for the iPhone
Popstamatic is an art creator app for the iPhone which takes a normal photo and transforms it into Andy Warhol inspired pop art. With a retro, whimsical look and feel inspired by Warhol's work and his time period, the app uses a straight-forward flow to capture a photo from the camera (or use one that already exists on the device), automatically process it, allow user customization and finally save the resulting art on the device and share it with friends. Seemingly random, the irregular shapes of the UI match and connect with each-other to create an effervescent yet flowing user experience.
WikiNodes, a visual Wikipedia browser for the iPad
WikiNodes is a visual browser for Wikipedia on the iPad. Based on the SpicyNodes information mapping technology, the app displays articles as nodes that you can touch, drag, and spin around. The design challenge was to create an user interface (UI) that will allow users to explore Wikipedia content through the relations between articles and between different sections within an article, making information easier to assimilate, in a more engaging manner. The application maintains an unique visual style while hinting at the association with Wikipedia through the application icon.
IDEA.org Redesign / Blog Design
The Institute for Dynamic Educational Advancement (IDEA) is a nonprofit organization that works to enhance scientific, artistic, and cultural literacy by improving the way people learn and interact with information. As it shifted towards a more active online presence and with a growing involvement in development for the iOS platform, the organization needed a more efficient channel for communication and a better platform to showcase its new applications. The natural solution was to restructure the web site around a central blog and a support section for the new IDEA apps. Although transformed, the design of the site retains the look and feel present throughout the organization's family of web sites and applications.
Concierge Contractor Web Site
Concierge Contractor is a construction company activating in the Austin, Texas metropolitan and suburban areas. The web site accomodates the company's two branches of activity, residential and commercial services, guiding users to their area of interest within the site, starting from separate entry points on the home page. A notable feature of the site is the 'client notepad', allowing users to take persistent notes while they browse, which are automatically transferred to the contact form. The designs use rigurous shapes and strong contrast to reinforce Concierge Contractor's identity.

Listening Chair is a team of in-home psychologists and social workers specializing in senior health and psychology. Listening Chair needed a web site to provide information about their business and services online, and to help streamline the appointment process. The solution consists in a small, elegant web site with separate sections corresponding to critical areas of interest, and flexible contact functionality for appointments and inquiries.
Spring Ahead & Fall Back, an iPhone and iPad app
Spring Ahead & Fall Back is an app for iPhone and iPad that enables users to discover when and where Daylight Saving Time events take place, and when they should switch their clocks. The design makes use of stark contrast, subtle lighting effects, as well as seamless transitions to create a compelling and fluent user experience. An extensive set of unique icons and illustrations reinforces the distinctive look and feel of the app.

Launched in 1999, WebExhibits was one of the first online museums, and now receives over eight million visitors each year. The web site presents interactive exhibits covering science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and culture. There were two progressive redesigns over a couple of years. The first redesign addressed the dated look of the previous site. The solution included a compelling new index and auxiliary pages for the main site as well as updated designs for the subordinate exhibit sites. The new index design relied on a central interactive object and used iconic photo elements to provide brief descriptions and access to exhibit sites. A second redesign made the site fully available on emerging Apple iOS devices by replacing the main Flash object with HTML and CSS content. The site was also given a fresh new look that remains consistent with the museum theme.

The app complies with the Apple iPhone guidelines for design and interaction, ensuring a familiar user experience.

ColoRotate is a simple to use yet powerful color editor that allows intuitive control over individual colors as well as full palettes in a three-dimensional color space. As a compressed version of the ColoRotate online editor, the Photoshop plugin is just as powerful and even more versatile by integrating with the existing workflow of the user. In addition to the online version, the plugin is able to manipulate the Photoshop specific foreground and background colors. As the plugin interfaces with Photoshop features and functionalities, the UI was adapted to accomodate changes and additions.

The Flash presentation gives an overview and schedule of the latest event and a history of facts about past events. Using easily accessible controls and a flexible layout, the presentation can be delivered on multiple platforms - offline laptop or PC, web or projector. The presentation may be played as a looping video in less than ideal viewing conditions, due to seamless transitions, high contrast and good readability.

The full-Flash web site is backed up by a HTML alternative, both using the same underlying data structure, allowing content to be easily managed by the client.
