Concierge Contractor Identity
Concierge Contractor is a construction company activating in the Austin, Texas metropolitan and suburban areas. The company specializes in high end residential construction and maintenance services. The visual identity needed to easily convey the type of services provided, so the main color palette was based on yellow and black, typically associated with construction and machinery. This classic color combination was further refined to gold and charcoal, to suggest premium services. The logo combines symbols of tools and a shield, positioning the brand in the residential services area. Textures of wood, concrete, stone tiling and other common construction materials are used as backgrounds for the web site, prints and other branded items.
ColoRotate Identity Update
ColoRotate is a simple to use yet powerful color editor that allows intuitive control over individual colors as well as full palettes in a three-dimensional color space. The visual identity derives from the concept of light dispersion into color hues. This concept was crystalized in the initial ColoRotate symbol, a diamond inspired by the shape of the editor body, and in the various graphical elements of the editor and web site pages. As ColoRotate evolved and was further refined, the editor body (the 'color solid') changed from angular and faceted to a smoother shape which represents the human perception of the color more accurately. The logo was adjusted to match the new shape of the color solid and a new icon was designed for the upcoming ColoRotate iPad app.
TapTheExpert is an online service offering advice, in the form of quizzes and guides, on virtually any topic. As the service is delivered both on the web and as an iPhone app, it needed to be branded cohesively on both platforms. Part of the solution provided is an expressive symbol, ideal as an iPhone app icon, which combined with the logotype forms a logo that is suitable for web use.
Easy Software Solutions Identity
Easy Software Solutions (ESS) is a software development business with a primary focus on expert solutions for the medical industry. The logo is suggestive of a genetic helix and computer code. The visual identity draws further inspiration from both software and medical worlds, by using strong contrast and vivid color to denote readiness, vigor and neatness.
The Institute for Dynamic Educational Advancement (IDEA) is a nonprofit organization that works to enhance scientific, artistic, and cultural literacy by improving the way people learn and interact with information. The visual identity relies on assymetric, uneven shapes to suggest organic imperfection. The central fruit-shaped symbol contained in the logo works to round off a bright, clean and warm environment that sustains growth and transformation. These attributes extend to IDEA's child projects which share prominent unifying features, such as consistent use of the same font family and similarly vibrant colors.
SpicyNodes is a visually engaging and interactive way for visitors to explore concept maps (such as site maps) and immediately access the information they need. As one of IDEA's projects, SpicyNodes shares the bright and clean feel of the main identity. The logo builds on the concept of mapping connections, central to SpicyNodes, and employs an accurate depiction of a connection map as a symbol, instantly linking the logo to the technology it represents.
TownAccess is an interactive information and guidance system for museums and public sites. The symbol used in the logo takes inspiration from a compass rose found on conventional maps. This makes TownAccess kiosks displaying the logo instantly recognizable as access points for guidance. The symbol may also be perceived as a three-dimensional object, which contributes to an unique and memorable logo, despite the similarities to a very common graphic mark.
resinLife is an interactive and graphic design agency that specializes in user interface, web, applications and visual identity, employing a dynamic team of experienced collaborators instead of permanent, on-site staff. The name suggests an association of artificial and humanistic elements into a naturally functional system, and denotes resinLife's commitment to user-centered solutions and transparent use of technology. The logotype is based on an entirely new typeface featuring slender and rigorous letter shapes.
