As a graphic and interactivity designer,
I'm passionate about creating engaging, natural experiences,
through blending technology, ergonomics and aesthetics.
This reflects in my work which achieves efficiency, clarity and appeal.
My formal and self-taught theoretical training complements knowledge gained from hands-on experience in applied design and development, as well as from an inquisitive nature and an innate interest in designs that rise above rough utility.
I started doing freelance work as a web designer while still in college. During this period I became proficient with Macromedia's emerging Flash technology, and was among the first to employ it for rich web applications integrating dynamic data. At that time Flash was used almost exclusively for static web sites and motion graphics.
In 2003 I joined Grapefruit, one of the country's most notable interactive and branding agencies, and through 2006 I have progressed to a Senior Designer position. As part of a multidisciplinary creative team, I was responsible with creating diverse interactive projects, while also contributing to several visual identities. My position at Grapefruit offered me the opportunity to work with notable clients such as McCann Erickson, Abbott Labs and Dacia-Renault.
Following a continued collaboration, in 2007 I joined IDEA as Lead Designer. At IDEA, I've been designing and directing the development of uniquely challenging projects like the ColoRotate editor and the SpicyNodes information mapping technology. At the same time I played a defining role in shaping and maturing the organization's identity, through its distinctive design language, communication tools and projects.
